So ..

I've been writing a story for the last 2 months or so, that I'm really falling in love with. Thing is, I need others to read what I've been writing, and fall in lovw with it too.

Now the one thing I've learned while being on dA, is that it mainly caters to the artists of the visual kind. And that's not a bad thing; I've fallen in love with a lot of good artists on here and their artwork. But, I need to find a place where my writing will be noticed more, a place that is really about the more literature- and written-based side of writing.

I really just want people to read some of my stuff, and tell me what they think. I'm sure I'm not as great as I feel I am, but .. well, yeah.

Ohai!

Name's Mike, a 24-yo poet, theorist, songwriter and all-around artist lover.

There's something about the way a person strings certain words together that can stir up emotions in you , deep ones, be they joy or sadness, elation or distress.

The same goes for those who know how to do the same things, but with colors and lines, symbols and shading and pure imagery.

For those of you who's art I've placed as a favorite, or used as a means for expressing my own self and beliefs, I give you great praise for being able to do what you do, and as well as you do it.

I always try to keep what's best for everyone in my mind and heart. I'm not a fan of anyone who put others down or treat people like something from the bottom of a shoe. So, if you're in any way like that, please don't bother trying to talk to me.

Besides that .. well, let's get ready to have some fun!

And remember guys, no hitting below the belt. Hehe.

Hi Mike - thanks for the visit. I'm an author too, with ten books under my belt. You're right that dA is heavy on the visual art side, but there are also a surprising number of excellent literature sites where you will get all the crit you want - #Genre7 for instance.
